Moving Sounds

This application uses Webcam Tracking for obtaining human movement data. This information is used to create sound from virtual musical instruments.
Everybody has their own motion profile in their every-day motion sequences (velocity, distances of the extremities, etc.). The approach of my work was to make this profile perceivable acoustically. Is there an individual identification melody an individual identification rhythm?

Studies: different musical instruments can be chosen to make movements perceivable acoustically in front of a webcam.

Sound Types

A song writes a text or manipulates typographic parameters of a text. For this purpose, audio frequences of a song are measured and can be transferred in real-time to various character attributes. The questions behind this study were the following: Is it possible to determine whether a text has been manipulated e. g. by a Jazz or a rock song? Do specific rhythms or identification patterns become visible and are they comparable?

The measured audio frequences influence font size, tracking and the font colour.
