Movie Codes - Structure in film

This work tries to find possibilities to display film sequences in a well-structured and descriptive way. With the help of an application, the single frames of a film sequence are extracted and arranged side by side. In a further step, the colour values of each frame are analyzed and stored in a simplified colour profile. In this way it becomes possible to search for particular colour profiles in a film sequence or to change the order of the single frames depending on a colour profile.

Studies: Color Codes – Single-Frame Interpretations.

A rgb pixel value defines the colour of a Pixel on the screen and includes three values (red, green, blue). These experiments show various approaches to give these values further influence on the image. For example the red value could also be interpreted as a line with a specific length, angle, thickness, position, etc. In this way new interpretations of an image are created, using the same colour information but interpreted according to one’s own rules.

Consecutive pixel values create point coordinates on a circular line that are linked like a net.

The pixel values change the appearance of the straight line that is created.
